Square steals. We are a new business about to launch literally in two months. We opened a Square banking and wanted to use it for all of our business banking needs, because of its perceived ease of use and options, how it was explained to us on the phone before. How wrong were we... Yesterday we wanted to transfer OUR (not Square transaction generated money) into our account, immediately we encountered a bit of a problem and my partner, thank god, decided to just transfer $5 to test. That went through. Then we decided to transfer more and we were greeted with a big stop sign screen, and then an email that our account is in review. This is fine, happens all the time. Today I call and a lady on the other end says not to worry and that the account will be unblocked within a few hours. An hour later we get an email stating that our account is deactivated and that they will hold the money that we have there for 90! days. Thank god it was only $5, I cannot even fathom what would we do if we transferred more. Most likely it would bury the business since it is very time sensitive and on a tight schedule. So I call again, and the guy tells me that it is over, my account is done, they essentially stole that $5 (LOL), and, by the way, he would appreciate if we would cancel the banking account with them right now. Amazing! I wonder how other companies do business with them if they can arbitrarily hold the funds for the fun of it, how can you operate and rely on someone like that to handle your money. And again, it was our money, not transaction generated money. Do not use them guys, nightmare fuel. #square

Ok well Square is HORRIBLE!! I had $2250 stolen from my account with it only being set up less than 5 days!!!!! You can’t get in touch with them at all!!! They state the security team can not be reached they have to contact you via email only!! The fraud case I opened on Thursday was not even recorded on my account and so the new representative that I had to speak with through a chat channel only!!! Stated that had opened a new one!!! Really Square!??? What is exactly going on with your customer support and your so called 2 step authentication!!!! It is useless!!!! Are your employees stealing sellers info to line their pockets while we sellers lose out on thousands of dollars!!!! Your lack of secure transactions and non existent support should be enough to shut you down!!! Get with the program!!! Secure your servers and service your customers!!! Get a grip!!! Fraud runs rampant with your Company and you assume no accountability at all!!!! I want MY MONEY NOW!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

We still have to figure out the part where brands who take themselves really seriously could thrive in there. I personally think that althought most of tiktok is based on being funny, there's also space for inspiring and informative, so for example a hotel brand could become a "travel agent" for their destination and develop some sort of authority for the city they're in. That way, in the long run, when people think about going to that location, they'll think of the hotel. But again, funny content rules in TikTok, so we'd have to find a middle ground between that and management.
